Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy, using visual observation, palpation and various hands-on treatments to restore balance in the body, by removing tension or strain patterns that may be present. The structures of the body are all inter-connected through the various systems of the body such as the musculoskeletal system, the circulatory system, the digestive system, the endocrine system and the nervous system. One of the main goals is to find the primary restrictions that may be leading to the bigger symptoms an individual is experiencing, and then to remove these restrictions to promote better balance, health and allow the body to work towards healing.

Stephanie was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba, where she graduated from “The Comp” in 2011. Growing up, Stephanie competed in Gymnastics, and continued coaching. She also played a little bit of volleyball. Her experience with sports and the many injuries that come along with it is what sparked her interest in manual therapy. She started at Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2011 and graduated in 2013.
She received training in relaxation and therapeutic massage as well as further training in sports massage therapy. In 2015, she enrolled at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and completed the 5-year program in 2020. She presented her research paper titled “An Inter-rater Reliability RCT on the Effects of Palpation Training Using a Lumbar Spine Model: A Study Design”.
Stephanie works out of her own space in Selkirk, MB. Stephanie lives in the country with her husband, their son Lucas and their dog, Grizzly. Together they love to spend time relaxing, working in the yard, and enjoying many outdoor activities.
